MAHA"NIKKI"RAJI THE DOGGIE LAMA

On July 17, 2007 (7/17/07), we received the wonderful news that our beloved Nikki has returned to us once again. On 5/5/2007 (numerologically a ONE year for new beginnings) Nikki was born this time into a male Maltese body. Michael and I were wondering if we should get another dog. We sought to find a suitable companion friend for Principessa. We wrote Principessa's Canadian breeder but had not heard back for a month or so. The internet's options proved fruitless in what we were looking for, obviously something / someone specific. Then one day the Canadian breeder wrote and said they discovered our email and realized that one of their females was pregnant. She had had a litter of pups and one was male. We immediately said yes. They sent pics and he was adorable.

I had the thought that perhaps we should investigate his lineage; perhaps Principessa was related to him. Sure enough the male was born in a litter of 3 females 1 male with "Leo" the father and "Bambi" the mother. Principessa was born in a litter of 1 female and 3 males with "Leo" the father and "Echo" the mother. Hmmm, this was getting curiously interesting.

We've paid special attention to Nikki (for now we have discovered that he is in fact one and the same) and sure enough some of Nikki #1's characteristics are in this Nikki #2's little body (we will add to this developing list):

  1. He recognized his old orthopedic bed straight away
  2. He thumps a rear leg against his foreleg with his hind leg when excited - Thumper Boy!
  3. He is an earth sign this time too
  4. He recognizes the little hanging bell when going outside potty
  5. His feet smell like Fritos corn chips
  6. He recognized his little green squeaky pacifier toy
  7. He loves his crate/home a lot
  8. He has big feet, big jaw and big forehead ... and his left foot/leg naturally lean out to the left more so than the right leg, just like in his Shepherd body
  9. He is stocky, thick and solid like his former Shepherd body
  10. He loves to dig in trash cans for papers and rip them apart
  11. He loves his little squeaky squirrel toy
  12. He is learning quickly to howl and will have a beautiful howl very soon
  13. For those who know him, "Wood Boy" or "Beaver Boy" is back! ...
  14. And once again, our little ball of love has many new nicknames: Shredder, Shred (like Fred but not), Fluff Boy and the list goes on

 
 
 


Hi, my name is Nikki, and like my older sister I also come from Eugene and Jackie of Calgary, Canada.  I am a Maltese Dog born on May 5, 2007 (5/5/7). In Chinese Astrology I am a Fire Pig in Chinese and a Taurus the Bull in the other kind of Astrology. Not that that matters much because I look like a little polar bear and even walk like one. So I think I am the sign of the Polar Bear of the North more than anything. (Although I am an earthy nature lover and like cows, bulls and pigs.)

Humans are funny. My human Dad, Michael, is a lot like me; he likes to eat and is big boned like me. (My big sister, Principessa, is very much the princess and acts a lot like my Mom, Deidre.)

I am very happy in my new home with my family.  Like my sister, I had a long flight from Canada but this time the plane went to Los Angeles instead of to Las Vegas; my Dad picked me up from the airport and took me to meet the rest of my family in the nice hotel room. Mom and Dad ate something called "room service" and never left me alone. It was a long drive to our house in Sedona, AZ and I had to have them pull over a few times for me, but we made it just fine and I have been enjoying my new home for months now.

I love my big sister and my Mom and Dad. It took me a while but I finally figured out they don't like if if I pee in the house so I go outside and sometimes I stay and watch the birds and animals play.

My sister is the shy one. I am v ery friendly and love to meet people and other dogs. I am still growing into my 'growl' and 'howl' sounds. I love my bed, toys and bones and love to snuggle in my bed a lot. Thanks for reading about me. Come back and visit soon.

My little sister, Little Principessa, Baby Boo as a tiny puppy

 

Principessa (2 yrs old) has a long legged lean body and loves to run. Nikki's tiny little legs and stout body are trying to keep up. He's getting better and better at it though.
